Safeguarding at Lilycroft
The safety and wellbeing of every child at Lilycroft is our highest priority. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility — and if you ever have a concern about a child, please don't hesitate to speak up. No concern is too small.
Who to speak to
If you are worried about the safety of a child, please speak to one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) straight away. You can speak to any of them in person or call us on 01274 543282.
Our named safeguarding team are:
- Sian Hudson — Executive Head
- Adam Bagherian — Assistant Head
- Ermina Kesedzic — Assistant Head / SENCO
- Juraj Tancos — Senior Family, Staff & Community Liaison (Lead: Safeguarding and Social Media)
- Amanda Nicolson — Business Manager
How concerns are recorded
We use a simple internal form called a Pink Slip to record any child protection concerns. This might include things like:
- Unexplained physical marks such as burns or unusual injuries
- Worrying comments made by a child
- A specific incident noticed by a member of staff or a parent
When a concern is raised, a member of staff will talk it through with the parent or carer, record the conversation, and pass the form straight to a named person for further action.
